Summary
Join Tide's Developer Experience team in London as a Lead Developer Experience Engineer. This role requires a highly experienced engineer with expertise in GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines, containerized application deployment (Go, Java, Python), and cloud platforms (AWS, Kubernetes). You will design, build, and maintain cloud-based solutions, mentor other engineers, and champion best practices. The ideal candidate possesses a Computer Science degree, 5+ years of experience in distributed computing, and strong problem-solving skills. Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in distributed computing
- Good working knowledge of web based applications
- A depth of knowledge with one or more of the following programming languages: Python, Java, Go, JavaScript
- Experience with a variety of cloud computing platforms and technologies, including AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and EKS
- Deployed containerised TypeScript, Java or Python applications
- Familiarity with developer portals such as Backstage
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in Pair Coding
- Ability to automate - Infrastructure as Code
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain cloud-based solutions
- Lead and mentor other engineers
- Champion best practices in software development, and in agile ways of working
- Stay up-to-date on the latest cloud computing technologies
- Troubleshoot and resolve pipeline and cloud-based issues
- Work with other teams to ensure that cloud-based solutions meet the needs of the business, strong collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in all areas is not required, but willingness to learn is essential

- Gross monthly salary between 5800 and 7300 EUR, depending on skills and experience
