Summary

Join 540 as a Lead DevSecOps Engineer and lead a team, developing and implementing secure, scalable, and automated solutions for the DoDโ€™s Air Force integration platform. This remote position, based in the continental US with East Coast hours, requires a US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance. You will manage and mentor a team of engineers, leveraging your extensive experience in cloud services, CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps best practices. Requirements

  • Be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance
  • Possess a Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Computer Science or related engineering field
  • Have experience leading, mentoring and managing a team of DevSecOps Engineers
  • Have 7+ years of experience with Cloud Service Providers (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.)
  • Have 5+ years of experience creating/maintaining CI/CD pipelines
  • Have experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)
  • Have experience with providing technical oversight and guidance on containerized application and microservices architecture (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Have Configuration Management experience (Ansible, Puppet, etc)
  • Have experience deploying applications in DoD or other accredited federal environments that require IA certification and accreditation to deploy
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of DevSecOps best practices
  • Have a firm understanding of networking concepts
  • Have experience with Git and the Gitflow development workflow
  • Currently possess CompTIA Security+ and has the ability to obtain any other required certifications within 2 months of employment
  • Possess proficiency with macOS
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Possess strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Be able to work independently (as if on an island) with clients, but also be a consummate team player

  • Drive the development and implementation of secure, scalable, and automated solutions for the DoDโ€™s Air Force integration platform powered by Apigee and Google Cloud

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have experience with Database technologies such as PostgreSQL and/or MySQL
  • Have experience with API Gateways (Apigee, Kong, Tyk, etc.)
  • Have experience with securing sensitive data (including security marking standards such as DoD Banner Lines or ISM)
  • Have experience with DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
