Lead Educational Sales Consultant

Summary

Join IXL Learning as a Lead Educational Sales Consultant and contribute to the growth of our K-12 platforms, IXL and Rosetta Stone. This leadership role involves managing a team of 3-4 educational sales consultants while also managing your own territory's revenue target. The position is full-time and remote for candidates in Washington or Oregon, reporting directly to the Sales Director of the Western Region. You will develop sales strategies, establish metrics, and provide leadership and mentorship to your team. Success in this role requires a balance of individual contribution and team management, focusing on meeting sales goals and understanding K-12 customer needs.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in Education or related field
• Educational Technology Sales background
• Complete understanding of the K-12 market
• 3-5 years of experience in sales
• Familiarity with Web-based technologies
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated success at managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Aptitude for working under pressure and meeting deadlines
• Ability to apply energy and creativity to meeting sales goals
• Passion for bringing technology into the classroom

Responsibilities

• Establish sales strategy based on market conditions
• Develop metrics in order to drive strategy and meet revenue expectations
• Provide leadership to a highly skilled team of sales consultants
• Establish and maintain an independent sales pipeline from a specific territory
• Develop a keen understanding of K-12 customer needs and values
• Provide mentorship, guidance, and coaching throughout the sales process with your expert background in K-12 educational technology sales
• Track, forecast, budget, and monitor sales pipeline
• Meet individual contributor and team sales goals on a consistent basis

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior sales management experience
• Direct classroom experience

Benefits

• Base salary range for this full-time position is $95,000 to $110,000 + bonus + benefits
• Full-time remote position
