Summary
Join Natera as a Lead EMR Systems and Support Analyst and drive multiple parallel projects contributing to the development, integration, support, and updates of an Electronic Health Record system and supporting IT systems. You will optimize workflows, integrate provider EMR systems, and manage Epic and other EMR upgrades. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, track project statuses, and ensure effective communication. Leverage your EMR expertise to deliver outstanding user experiences and solicit customer feedback. This role involves travel up to 30% for training and support. You will work with Protected Health Information (PHI) and must complete HIPAA/PHI privacy training. A background check is required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Clinical, Informatics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Computer Systems, or commensurate experience
- Minimum 5-10 years of direct work experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of systems and project management experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in directly dealing with EMR systems
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Customer research and survey skills – how to ask good questions, listen carefully, and synthesize information into clear customer and market needs with attention to details
- Highly organized with ability to manage concurrent deadlines
- Ability to collaborate and interact effectively with individuals, and influence individuals across functional areas and in team environments
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as a team member across multiple teams
- Ability to develop, document and ensure adherence to technical standards
- Ability to independently research and perform analysis to resolve complex issues
- Ability to understand customer requirements and their impact on technical directions of a solution
- Ability to manage multiple projects successfully with high quality deliverables while keeping stakeholders informed of progress
- Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented and able to manage one’s own work independently in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
- Must be able to maintain professionalism and react to customers appropriately while exhibiting the highest level of customer service
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools
- Understanding of clinical workflows and terminology in Healthcare IT is required
- Working knowledge of EMR solutions is required
- Strong understanding of healthcare business processes and technology is required
- Pass a post offer criminal background check
Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of Natera’s users to deliver an outstanding user experience
- Use your EMR expertise and functional workflow knowledge to develop and reform EMR systems and support processes as needed to provide top quality customer service to both internal and external customers
- Lead and manage the entire EMR upgrade and compendium rollout process for all our customers while providing effective communication on status
- Drive operational excellence and meet with operational stakeholders as required to determine both short term and long term solutions to issues identified post implementation
- Plan, lead and execute multiple implementations and customer upgrades with quality. You will also keep stakeholders informed of progress
- Solicit customer feedback and funnel new requirements and product changes back into software development
- Participate in all phases of the system development life cycle including development of use cases and evaluation of software solutions
- Research to develop, configure, and modify moderately complex information systems
- Create documentation of business requirements, current and future state workflows
- Design, configure, test, debug, document, and maintain program/application configurations
- Coordinate all testing phases of associated applications across multiple parallel implementations and upgrades
- Support existing functionality with further expansion to other Natera groups where necessary
- Develop strong relationships with end user communities, customers, and business partners. In the process, you will quickly become a subject matter expert on Natera’s deployed EMR software products
- Travel (up to 30%) to customer sites to assist with clinic staff or provider training, and onsite elbow support where necessary
- Complete training relating to HIPAA/PHI privacy, General Policies and Procedure Compliance training and security training as soon as possible but not later than the first 30 days of hire
- Maintain a current status on Natera training requirements
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in acute care or ambulatory care settings is a plus
