Requirements

  • Master of Laws or LLM from an accredited law school
  • Minimum of 10+ years of legal expertise and experience in commercial, corporate, and contracting law
  • Strong background with international laws, taxation matters, financial transactions and the IT sector
  • Proven experience drafting and negotiating various types of international agreements
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to conduct thorough legal research
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality legal work
  • High level of legal ethics and strong organizational and team management skills
  • Fluent in English (C1+); other languages are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex contracts, including SaaS/IaaS/PaaS agreements, licensing agreements, IP/IT agreements, Intragroup agreements, NDAs, and service contracts
  • Provide strategic advice on software and IT agreements to protect company interests, supporting international commercial transactions
  • Handle corporate governance, legal structuring, and compliance matters
  • Advise on legal implications of business transactions, mergers, and acquisitions
  • Ensure compliance with relevant corporate and commercial regulations, IP rights protection
  • Build policies, frameworks, and procedures, such as compliance roadmaps, matrices, and workflows
  • Develop and maintain company policies on risk management, procurement, and data protection
  • Monitor and assess evolving regulatory and legal frameworks (e.g., EU AML, GDPR, gambling regulations, MiCA, etc.) and translate findings into actionable business strategies
  • Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis on new regulations and emerging legal trends
  • Provide clear and concise legal advice to internal stakeholders at all levels
  • Act as a legal project manager on cross-functional projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives
  • Coordinate with various teams to integrate legal requirements into company workflows
  • Support Data Privacy matters and requests
  • Monitor regulatory changes and ensure the organization remains compliant with financial, corporate, and IT-related regulations
  • Draft reports and provide recommendations for compliance improvements
  • Collaborate with internal departments, including HR, Marketing, Finance, IT, and others, to support legal needs
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism in all legal dealings
  • Resolve team conflicts and provide conflict management training where needed
  • Drive knowledge-sharing initiatives across the legal function and broader organization
  • Manage legal project timelines, workload distribution, and delivery quality

Preferred Qualifications

  • Data Protection Professional Certification (DPO or others), Expert of ISO 27001 Certification, Cisco or others
  • Experience in legal project management and implementation of legal tech tools
  • Knowledge of data privacy and cybersecurity laws, crypto processing, and financial transactions
  • Experience with compliance frameworks such as GDPR, AML, or ISO standards
  • Familiarity with cross-border transactions
  • Prior experience in a corporate legal department or in-house counsel role
