Requirements
- Full registration (with no restrictions) as an Occupational Therapist with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Be located in Australia with full working rights
- Have an appropriate home office setup, including a high-speed internet connection, a computer/laptop for telehealth consults, and experience with telehealth platforms
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, oversight, and supervision to our occupational therapy team, ensuring adherence to best practices and Australian healthcare standards, and supporting decision-making and professional development
- Facilitate or co-facilitate clinical supervision with OT/clinical team for case consultation and clinical professional development
- Maintain oversite of risk/complex patients and management for their team and provide regular updates to the Clinical Director
- Contribute to streamlining clinical processes and procedures
- Ensure all services comply with Australian standards and regulations, including those set by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
- Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient outcomes
- Create and implement resources and report templates for use by the occupational therapy team
- Engage with current team members to review and validate current clinical efficiency and processes
- Oversee overall clinical performance both with patients and with clinicians including provision and quality of services
- Use and review the VR technology provided by XRHealth to improve services as needed
- Content creation for XRHealth to reach our audience through webinars, blogs, etc
- Capacity to design and implement programs to expand the scope and quality of occupational therapy services, particularly for NDIS participants
- Represent the organisation in community events and professional networks to promote occupational therapy and the organisation's services
- Perform comprehensive assessments and develop personalised treatment plans, with an emphasis on functional outcomes
- Deliver direct therapy services, utilising evidence-based practices and VR to achieve patient goals
- Work collaboratively with other departments and external partners to integrate multidisciplinary approaches into patient care
- Assess and manage complex and risk patients in line with XRHealth policies and procedures
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records in a timely manner, in compliance with Australian healthcare regulations
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with advancements in telehealth technology, treatment approaches, and regulatory changes and in line with professional registration requirements
