Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field
- 6+ years of professional experience in UX/UI design, with experience designing e-commerce experiences
- Very strong, modern UI skills
- Expert-level proficiency in Figma, and other design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong experience utilizing design systems to build and update screens
- Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies
- Proven track record of delivering successful design projects that meet business goals and user needs
- Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and researchers
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and decisions to stakeholders
- Familiarity with front-end development principles and an understanding of technical feasibility and limitations
- Experience with user research methodologies, usability testing, and data-driven design
- A portfolio showcasing your previous UX and UI design work, including shopping or e-commerce related projects
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end design processes for multiple projects within the catalog experience, from initial concept, through stakeholder presentation, to final implementation
- Conduct user research to understand user behaviors, needs, and pain points related to shopping, and translate these insights into actionable design solutions
- Create user-centered designs, including wireframes, prototypes, and mockups, that effectively communicate interaction and design ideas, business goals and technical constraints
- Work closely with engineers to ensure seamless implementation of design concepts, providing necessary design assets and guidance throughout the development cycle
- Conduct usability testing and iterate on designs based on user feedback and data-driven insights
- Champion a cohesive and consistent design language for shopping-related components across the platform, considering global usability and accessibility standards
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior designers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth within the design team
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in UX and e-commerce to drive innovation
