Lead Product Designer

Summary

Join Viget's network of vetted contractors as a Senior Product Designer! Help our clients conceive, design, and launch sophisticated digital experiences and products. Your work will encompass the entire design process, from research and prototyping to visual design. We primarily seek senior- and lead-level designers for short-term or specialized client projects, mostly remote. Even with limited availability, connect with us for future opportunities. We'll reach out when a strong match is found. This is a contract position.

Requirements

• Have an online portfolio of work you can share with us
• Have 5+ years of professional experience designing digital products
• Be expert Figma users

Responsibilities

• Independently drive large, complex projects from concept to completion
• Show expertise in interaction design and prototyping tools to communicate complex interactive design concepts
• Design high-quality, thoughtful interfaces that balance function, aesthetics, and usability
• Have experience working within an existing design system, deciding when to leverage pre-designed components and when there’s a need for new components
• Be familiar with the possibilities and limitations of modern development approaches including web applications, client-side applications, and native mobile applications
• Clearly communicate recommendations to clients and teammates and build alignment on product strategy, design, functionality, and usability
• Enjoy working with agile development teams on software applications, and helping clients focus on realistic deliverables
• Meet deadlines and be considerate of clients’ project budgets and timelines
• Take pride in proactively listening, communicating, and collaborating exceptionally well
