Summary

Join Fivetran as a Lead Product Manager - Data Lakes and manage a rapidly growing product area centered around Fivetran's Managed Data Lake Service. You will tackle challenging customer needs, replicating mission-critical data sources and seamlessly integrating that data into data lake environments. Collaborate with database engineering, field engineering, and product marketing to deliver new data management capabilities. This is a key role with high visibility across Fivetran and its partners. This full-time, hybrid position is based in Oakland, CA, Denver, CO, or remotely in the US, offering a blend of remote flexibility and in-person collaboration. The role involves building and managing the product roadmap, prioritizing initiatives, performing data analysis and customer research, and collaborating with various teams to drive adoption.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience managing data integration, data analytics, or data engineering products
  • Deep knowledge of and recent experience working with modern data lake technologies such as Apache Iceberg and Delta Lake and their associated ecosystems
  • Experience in databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.), data movement (real-time replication or ETL/ELT), multiple clouds (AWS, Azure, Google, Alibaba), cloud analytics destinations (Snowflake, Databricks, RDS, Synapse, BigQuery, etc.), SQL and API technologies
  • Track record of shipping products that deliver measurable results
  • Self-starter. Driven to learn about the latest database and cloud technologies and industry trends to identify technical solutions to complex problems
  • Highly collaborative cross-functionally and within the product organization
  • Strong attention to detail with a deep understanding of the big picture
  • Ability to balance multiple projects and deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage the strategic managed data lake product roadmap; set quarterly goals and track deliverables and results
  • Prioritize major initiatives to improve the performance & capabilities of your portfolio
  • Perform in-depth data analysis and customer research to identify areas of opportunity for improvements
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, design, product marketing and sales to drive adoption of your portfolio
  • Evangelize the success of your initiatives both internally and externally
