Summary

The job is for a QA Engineer to manage the quality assurance process of a Fintech company's mobile and web-based investment platform. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience as a QA Engineer, 3+ years in Fintech technologies related to investment and trading, proficiency in manual and automated testing for both mobile and web applications, excellent analytical skills, strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and must be a US Citizen currently residing in the US.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience as a QA Engineer
  • 3+ years experience in Fintech technologies related to investment and trading
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Proficiency in manual and automated testing for both mobile and web applications
  • Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  • Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines and experience with related tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Must be a US Citizen currently residing in the US
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in written and spoken English

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases for mobile and web-based trading platforms
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and design effective testing strategies
  • Execute manual and automated tests to identify defects and ensure the quality of the product
  • Perform functional, regression, performance, and security testing across different platforms (iOS, Android, Web)
  • Identify, document, and track bugs and issues using bug tracking tools
  • Work closely with the development and customer experience team to reproduce and resolve issues
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts to improve efficiency and coverage
  • Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure continuous testing
  • Analyze test results and provide regular reports on test coverage, defect metrics, and overall product quality
  • Provide feedback and recommendations for improvement to the development team
  • Ensure the platform provides a seamless and intuitive user experience
  • Conduct usability testing and provide feedback to enhance the user interface and user experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • ISTQB or similar, relevant certifications
  • Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Testmo)
