Requirements
- Be highly proficient in building and maintaining automated test suites using Playwright or equivalent frameworks, leveraging TypeScript/JavaScript and BrowserStack to ensure comprehensive cross-browser and end-to-end test coverage
- Possess exceptional skills in working directly with clients and be adept at selecting and managing vendors effectively
- Have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and empower clients, stakeholders, and team members
- Maintain a calm, positive, and supportive approach with a focus on solutions, fostering a collaborative atmosphere within the team
- Be self-driven and proactive, taking full ownership of tasks from start to finish
- Possess keen attention to detail and a meticulous nature to help spot, prevent, and resolve issues
- Have over 8 years of experience in a similar role and be well-versed in industry best practices
- Advocate for a shift-left testing approach, working closely with developers to promote best practices in unit testing, integration testing, and code quality
- Possess a deep understanding of Agile/Scrum development principles
- Be skilled in API testing using Postman or comparable tools
- Have familiarity with CMS platforms, such as Contentful or similar
- Hold a Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain automated test suites using Playwright or equivalent frameworks, leveraging TypeScript/JavaScript and BrowserStack
- Work directly with clients and select and manage vendors effectively
- Communicate effectively and build trust with clients, stakeholders, and team members
- Maintain a calm, positive, and supportive approach, fostering a collaborative team atmosphere
- Take full ownership of tasks from start to finish
- Spot, prevent, and resolve issues before they reach clients
- Advocate for a shift-left testing approach, working with developers to promote best practices in unit testing, integration testing, and code quality
- Apply Agile/Scrum development principles in dynamic environments
- Perform API testing using Postman or comparable tools
- Utilize CMS platforms such as Contentful
- Identify and assess risks associated with software projects and define risk mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with project management and development teams to prioritize testing efforts
- Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and product owners to ensure clear communication
- Provide insights and recommendations on test strategies, timelines, and resource allocation
- Provide leadership and guidance to the QA team, assigning responsibilities and overseeing their work
- Mentor and coach team members, fostering their growth and promoting a high-performance culture
- Take ownership for the professional development and evaluation of QA team members
- Lead the creation of test plans and strategies for projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define testing objectives, scope, and timelines
- Oversee the execution of test activities, ensuring adherence to test plans and achieving project quality goals
- Lead the design and development of scalable and maintainable test automation frameworks
- Collaborate with the development team to establish best practices for test automation and maximize test coverage
- Ensure efficient and effective utilization of automation tools and technologies
- Manage the setup, configuration, and maintenance of test environments
- Collaborate with infrastructure and operations teams to ensure the availability of required infrastructure
- Define and track key quality metrics to measure test progress, identify trends, and report on project quality
- Prepare test reports and provide regular updates to project stakeholders
- Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes, methodologies, and tools
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and adopt industry best practices
- Stay updated with emerging industry trends, technologies, and testing practices
- Encourage and drive innovation within the QA team
- Champion a culture of quality throughout the organization
- Promote the value and importance of quality assurance practices
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements
