Summary
Join PFL's Software Organization as a Lead Software Engineer in Test and contribute to architecting, implementing, and managing automated and manual tests. You will champion PFL standards, coordinate test execution, and build a high-performing QA team. This role involves designing scalable automation architectures, defining test automation strategies, collaborating with development teams, and leading QA activities. You will estimate resources, research new technologies, and participate in all phases of the product development lifecycle. Requirements
- Proven expertise in software testing and QA automation tools such as Playwright, Jest, NUnit, Postman/Newman, and Insomnia
- Proficient in scripting or object-oriented languages (JavaScript, C#)
- Familiar with RESTful API testing and cloud-based CI/CD pipelines
- Experience collaborating with external contractors, developers, and vendors
- Strong understanding of software architecture and agile practices
- Proficiency with development tools like AZ CLI, Bitbucket, VA Code, PowerShell, or others
- The ability to prioritize and balance practical needs with ideal technology solutions
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must pass a background check
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain scalable automation architectures
- Define and implement test automation strategies, including tools and frameworks
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure the creation of testable solutions
- Lead and execute QA activities while ensuring adherence to best practices
- Estimate resources based on requirements
- Research and propose new technologies to improve system functionality and performance
- Participate in all phases of the product development lifecycle, from testing through deployment
- Mentor team members to boost their effectiveness and efficiency
- Guide the team in adopting and implementing current best practices
