Summary

Join Bitso, a leading cryptocurrency platform in Latin America, as a Legal Counsel. This role focuses on ensuring compliance with Mexican law by addressing queries and reports from national authorities (CONDUSEF, BANXICO, CNBV). You will assist the legal team in drafting agreements and handling matters related to personal data and intellectual property. The ideal candidate possesses strong legal foundations, Mexican law expertise, and at least 5 years of relevant experience. Requirements

• Proven English fluency
• Very strong legal foundations and knowledge of Mexican law
• At least 5 years of experience in relationships with authorities, litigation, and corporate law
• Ability to meet deadlines and proficiency in legal research methods and tools
• 3+ years of experience working with regulatory bodies in Mexico such as (CNBV, CONDUSEF, and BANXICO)

Responsibilities

• Answer queries, reports, and requests from national authorities (CONDUSEF, BANXICO, CNBV, among others)
• Ensure company compliance with all applicable laws
• Assist the legal team in drafting agreements and matters related to personal data and intellectual property
• Work closely answering diverse authorities’ requirements (CONDUSEF, BANXICO, CNBV, among others), and attending to all applicable reports from these authorities
• Help to oversee the full scope of the company’s legal decisions and projects from drafting and negotiating agreements to assisting in day-to-day legal matters
• Collaborate with other teams alongside other lawyers to collectively address specific legal challenges
