Legal Counsel

Summary

The job is for a Legal Counsel at Yubo, an international social discovery app with a focus on user safety and protection. The role requires advising on laws and regulations, supporting teams, managing contracts, and identifying potential legal risks.

Requirements

• Master 2 degree in Law, ideally with a specialization in Intellectual Property (IP), Information Technology (IT), or Data Law
• >5 Years of Experience in a legal role
• Thorough understanding of data protection and privacy regulations, particularly those relevant to the European market (e.g., GDPR)
• Familiarity with the regulatory frameworks governing user-generated content and B2C platform
• Experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of contracts
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Advise on laws and regulations relating to content and safety
• Support Trust & Safety team, advising on content moderation issues
• Support Product team, ensuring product compliance with privacy and safety by design principles
• Provide legal support to the Public Affairs function
• Assist the DPO in creating and implementing privacy programs
• Manage and monitor contracts lifecycle
• Identify potential legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them
