Requirements
- 2 years experience as a qualified lawyer
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in the legal aspects of the payments industry (e.g., money transmission, lending, banking services, or fintech) within a law firm or in-house legal setting
- JD, LLB, LLM, or equivalent qualification, or authorization to practice law
- Fluency in English
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain the legal framework for global payments operations
- Serve as the primary legal advisor for our financial and payment services, addressing areas such as product guidance, regulatory requirements, licensing and other pertinent legal concerns
- Act as the main legal liaison for our payment product teams, ensuring legal and compliance standards are integrated into new product and business ventures
- Develop and implement streamlined, practical, and scalable legal and compliance processes
- Contribute to creating and enhancing internal legal and compliance protocols
- Provide guidance on and track new laws and regulations affecting payment services
- Facilitate the legal movement of employees across borders for business travel
