Requirements

• A qualified solicitor or legal executive in England and Wales
• 3-5 years of PQE combined with a robust background in commercial contracts
• With a proven track record in a business environment, you bring strong commercial experience to the table
• Communication is your superpower, as you effortlessly navigate negotiations with external parties and build relationships with external counsel
• Your excellent judgment and analytical skills are second nature, empowering you to make well-informed decisions in the face of uncertainty
• Collaboration is at the heart of your work, as you seamlessly liaise with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for maintaining and improving our standard sales terms
• Refine processes to ensure efficiency in close collaboration with our Sales team
• Use your legal expertise to draft and negotiate contracts with our larger clients including attending client meetings, ensuring optimal outcomes for all parties involved
• Report effectively to the Head of Legal on contract terms and any risks for the business
• Become a key partner to the Sales team to ensure legal support throughout the sale process and allocation of biodiversity net gain units
• Cultivate a strong and productive relationship with external counsel
• Assisting with managing the IP portfolio of the business and privacy requirements including delivering training to the business
• Reviewing ad-hoc contracts and flexing your skills to the requirement of the business at the time alongside the rest of the Legal team
