Summary

The job is for a Legal Counsel at Joko, a fast-growing company that provides an app and smart browser to help users shop smarter. The Legal Counsel will be responsible for ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, drafting and reviewing contracts, GDPR compliance, IP management, and coordinating legal aspects of international expansion.

Requirements

• You have a Master’s degree from a Tier 1 law university with a specialization in private law
• You have a proven 3 to 5 years experience as a lawyer, either in a law firm, a legal department of a fast-growing company, or both
• You are fluent in French and English, both written and spoken

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for ensuring the company complies with all relevant laws and regulations
• Take any relevant action to prevent the company from litigation
• Be the go-to person when it comes to drafting or reviewing contracts for all aspects of Joko’s activity
• In coordination with our DPO, take full responsibility for GDPR compliance
• Ensure that we establish a best-in-class legal framework for our employees
• Ensure thorough oversight of all aspects of corporate law events
• Along with our external advisor, make sure we have strong IP management procedures
