Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree or equivalent, with admission to practice law in at least one jurisdiction
• A minimum of 7 years of legal experience, with a strong background in cryptocurrency regulations and intellectual property law within the gaming industry

Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal advice on a wide range of issues related to cryptocurrency, including regulatory compliance across different jurisdictions that are favorable to crypto companies
• Oversee the legal aspects of intellectual property in gaming, including registering IP, negotiating and drafting IP deals with holders, and advising on publishing, distribution, and joint ventures
• Develop and implement strategies for protecting the company’s intellectual property and maintaining compliance with applicable laws and regulations in the crypto and gaming spaces
• Stay abreast of legal developments affecting the crypto and gaming industries, advising on potential impacts and strategies for compliance and growth
• Collaborate with external legal advisors and internal stakeholders to ensure all aspects of the company's operations adhere to national and international laws
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents and contracts, ensuring they meet the company's requirements and protect its interests
• Provide legal support for corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and partnership deals
• Lead the legal analysis for new projects and initiatives, identifying legal risks and proposing mitigation strategies
