Join Sterlington, an international law firm, as a full-time independent contractor providing first-class service to partners and internal stakeholders. This crucial role emphasizes document formatting and editing, ensuring seamless and accurate services in a deadline-driven environment. Responsibilities include producing and amending various documents, drafting client engagement letters, managing calendars and inboxes, and collaborating with global team members. The position requires previous legal secretarial experience, remote work experience, fluent English, advanced Microsoft Office skills, and excellent organizational and client service skills. Work hours are full-time, Monday-Friday, 4 PM to midnight Eastern Time. Compensation is to be determined based on experience and location.
Requirements
- Previous legal secretarial / document production experience within a law firm
- Remote working experience essential
- Fluent English (verbal and written communications)
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Ability to reformat document formatting into house style
- First-class organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent client service skills and a professional telephone manner
- Strong communication and team skills, with an eye for detail
- Ability to remain poised under pressure, multitask, and prioritize effectively
- Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
Responsibilities
- Provide a first-class service to our partners and internal stakeholders, with an emphasis on document formatting / editing
- Produce and amend correspondence, documents, reports, and more, ensuring adherence to the firm's house style
- Drafting client engagement letters
- Calendar and inbox management, travel planning, and scheduling
- Proofread and quality check all work to maintain high standards
- Time-tracking
- Collaborating with stakeholders and team members globally
