Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree by January or June 2025 and a strong interest in pursuing a legal career
  • A demonstrated history of academic success
  • Excellent written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Exceptional attention to detail, self-motivation, proactivity, organizational skills and a willingness to learn
  • Intellectual curiosity and humility
  • The ability to maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality
  • Mental flexibility and the ability to respond quickly and positively to shifting demands and opportunities

Responsibilities

  • Participate in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal contracts (e.g., NDAs, vendor agreements)
  • Review and file executed legal documents and commercial agreements, identifying important deviations from our standard legal terms
  • Assist in tracking fund documentation that informs decision making
  • Monitor restrictive covenant compliance for active deals
  • Help manage intake for the legal ticketing system to ensure legal requests are addressed efficiently
  • Support the legal team on a variety of routine and complex matters, including strategic firm initiatives
  • Provide ad-hoc compliance support as needed

Benefits

Compensation for this role is $25/hour
