Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Law
  • +4 years of experience within a legal function in law firms, fintech, technology companies or financial institutions
  • Strong management and organizational skills
  • Strong team player mentality with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to partner with colleagues at all levels
  • Collaborative spirit and problem prevention and problem solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills both in English and Portuguese

Responsibilities

  • Research and analyze laws, regulations and procedures to provide legal support, with special focus on Brazil's financial regulatory framework
  • Carry out privacy impact assessments in Brazilian products
  • Support the Contract Life Cycle Management by drafting, reviewing, negotiating, amending, releasing and guaranteeing the quality of middle/high complexity documents
  • Ensure proper follow-up of entrusted matters, daily tracking and update the progress to the relevant areas considering the timely completion of the ticketing system
  • Support with internal corporate governance and coordinate with outside counsels when needed
  • Interact with stakeholders across different teams, actively supporting them in getting things done
  • Bring innovative ideas to the table
  • Keep alignment within the legal team, have relentless curiosity, get things done and be humble and transparent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the fintech sector and Open Finance ecosystem, with demonstrated knowledge of BACEN regulations, PIX, and Open Finance frameworks
  • Fluent in Spanish
