Join Concentric Advisors as a Licensing & Compliance Manager (Security Operations) and ensure full compliance with federal, state, local, and international regulatory requirements. Lead efforts to secure and maintain business, security, and investigator-related licenses in various U.S. states, supporting global compliance initiatives. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, Criminal Justice, International Affairs, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- At least 5 years of experience in compliance, licensing, or regulatory operations—ideally in physical security, investigations, or corporate risk
- Demonstrated experience navigating and coordinating multi-state licensing processes; international compliance exposure is a plus
- Experience managing security-related licenses
- Proficient in compliance management platforms or tools used for license and certification tracking
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; capable of interpreting complex regulatory frameworks across domestic and international jurisdictions
- Strong working knowledge of security and private investigations licensing processes, including requirements for armed personnel (e.g., guard cards)
- Organized and detail-oriented with an ability to manage and prioritize a high volume of ongoing tasks
- Proficient in Google Suite and Monday.com
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate regulatory requirements clearly across teams and departments
- Skilled in cross-functional collaboration with internal teams and external regulators, legal advisors, and vendors
- Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP)
- Armed/Unarmed Guard Instructor Certification
- First Aid, CPR, AED, and/or TECC Instructor Certification
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage the acquisition, tracking, and renewal of business, insurance, and security/investigations-related licenses across various U.S. states and support international regulatory efforts as applicable
- Collaborate with operations and client services teams to proactively identify licensing requirements in new jurisdictions and initiate the necessary filings or applications
- Collaborate with operations and client services teams to maintain accurate and up-to-date records of employee certifications (e.g., Guard Cards, CPR/AED, firearms certification), with systems to ensure timely renewals and compliance across state lines
- Ensure company-wide adherence to federal, state, local, and foreign regulations relevant to physical security services, private investigations, and other security and intelligence-related services
- Monitor and interpret legislative and regulatory changes that may impact licensing and compliance obligations, both domestically and internationally
- Serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies across multiple jurisdictions, managing correspondence, inspections, and license audits
- Partner with business operations and client account teams to ensure all required licenses and employee certifications are aligned with contractual and regulatory expectations
- Partner with operations and client services teams to validate individual employee licensing requirements; coordinate and maintain oversight of all employee licensing applications, pre-/post-assignment training, company license association, and off-boarding
- Support client onboarding processes by validating and tracking all service-enabling certifications and registrations
- Vet subcontractors and third-party vendors to ensure their compliance with licensing, insurance, and risk requirements in applicable jurisdictions
- Manage audit-ready documentation and compliance records in secure internal systems
- Develop and maintain internal compliance policies and procedures that account for multi-jurisdictional and international requirements
- Conduct regular risk assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and implement controls or remediation plans to strengthen compliance posture
- Maintain a comprehensive compliance calendar and ensure company-wide accountability for ongoing obligations
- Plan and execute internal audits to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of compliance controls across geographies
- Investigate suspected non-compliance or process gaps, generate written findings, and recommend or lead corrective action
- Prepare and present compliance performance reports to leadership, with metrics on coverage, renewal tracking, and geographic risk indicators
- Design and deliver onboarding and ongoing compliance training for employees and leadership, focused on U.S. state-specific requirements and international considerations where applicable
- Develop and deliver required training programs specifically for armed security personnel, ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., use-of-force, firearms safety, and requalification training)
- Coordinate ongoing refresher training and maintain detailed records of all personnel’s training certifications and expiration dates
- Ensure training content aligns with licensing and regulatory standards across all jurisdictions where Concentric operates, including international territories where applicable
- Partner with internal and external training providers to deliver specialized programs as needed (e.g., CPR/AED, de-escalation techniques, emergency response protocols)
- Promote awareness of regulatory expectations and ethical standards throughout the company
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ Years of security management experience
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, Criminal Justice, International Affairs, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Proficiency in GSuite software and Monday.com
