Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Linux system administrator, DevOps Engineer, or Site Reliability Engineer
• Extensive experience in designing, building, configuring, and troubleshooting Linux servers across various environments (bare metal, container, cloud)
• Familiarity with process control and logging
• Proficiency with automation tools such as Ansible, Salt, or Chef
• Good understanding of Docker and ideally Kubernetes
• Experience with monitoring and log aggregation tools like Grafana, ELK, or Graylog
• Hands-on experience in deploying and maintaining systems on cloud solutions such as AWS, GCP, Azure, or OpenStack
• Proficient in scripting languages like Bash or Python
• Familiarity with configuring various servers and databases, including Apache Tomcat, Nginx, MySQL DB, PostgreSQL, Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc
• Ideally, some exposure to DevOps tools like Gitlab CI/CD, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions

Responsibilities

• Manage and support Kubernetes and PaaS platforms
• Oversee various services and associated infrastructure components, including DNS, Gitlab, Artifactory, Vault, etc
• Perform day-to-day operational tasks such as upgrades, CVE patching, backup and restore, security scans, and monitoring
• Resolve incidents, provide support coverage, categorize issues, conduct post-mortems, and perform root cause analysis
• Ensure environments are stable and adhere to availability SLAs
• Work towards reducing operational effort
• Engage in constant upskilling to stay updated with industry best practices
