Summary
Join Protect Democracy's impact litigation team as a contract attorney for a six-month term, with potential extension. Work remotely from anywhere in the US, contributing 20-40 hours per week to substantive litigation tasks. Ideal candidates possess at least four years of civil litigation experience and comfort with discovery tasks such as drafting motions, creating outlines, and drafting legal briefs. The hourly rate is $125-$175, depending on experience. We value diverse backgrounds and a commitment to our mission. Requirements
- Have a minimum of four years of civil litigation experience
- Be comfortable with some or all of the discovery tasks listed above
- Have the flexibility to start immediately
- Have a strong commitment to our mission of preventing our democracy from declining into a more authoritarian form of government

Responsibilities
- Draft discovery motions
- Create deposition outlines
- Draft third party subpoenas
- Assist with the development of expert reports
- Draft legal briefs and memoranda
