Localization Technical Specialist/ Localization Engineer

Summary

Crypto.com is seeking a Localization Technical Specialist to automate and refine the localization process, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and stay updated on industry trends. The ideal candidate should have a bachelor's degree in relevant fields, programming proficiency, experience with localization tools, understanding of localization file formats, AI prompt engineering experience as a plus, excellent communication skills, fluency in English and at least one other language, and a passion for crypto.

Requirements

• Passion for crypto, an innovative mind and a roll-your-sleeves up attitude
• Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Translation, Computer Science, or equivalent
• At least 2 years of experience in localization engineering or multi-lingual software development experience
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g. Python, Java, Ruby) and experience in localization tools (e.g. Lokalise, Crowdin, memoQ etc.)
• Strong understanding of localization file formats (e.g. json, xliff) and version control systems (e.g. GitHub)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
• Fluency in English and at least one other language

Responsibilities

• Automate the localization process for our product/services, including applications, marketing and website
• Automate linguistic testing and quality assurance to ensure accuracy and consistency of translated content
• Build a localization management platform to consolidate and process the automated workflows
• Evaluate and optimize the AI prompts for the best translated content
• Work closely with developers to implement localization best practices, including internationalization and localization strategies
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to localization, such as encoding problems and character display issues

Preferred Qualifications

AI prompt engineering experience is a plus
