Summary

VERSES is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Researcher to join their team and contribute to groundbreaking products in the field of machine learning. The role involves pursuing cutting-edge ML research independently and as part of a team, developing ML theory and implementations at scale, publishing papers, and collaborating with others in the scientific community. Essential qualifications include a demonstrated track record of publishing in top ML venues, an advanced degree in a quantitative field, experience at the cutting edge of machine learning research, knowledge of implementing AI systems at scales, and ability to work within a team.

Requirements

• Demonstrated track record at publishing in top echelon ML venues such as NeuIPS, ICML, ICLR, CVPR, etc on topics such Deep Learning, Reinforcement Learning, ML Theory & Foundations Unsupervised Learning & Generative Models
• Advanced degree in a quantitative field, with experience in computer science, data science, statistics and operations research
• Experience at the cutting edge of machine learning research
• Have knowledge of implementing AI systems at scales
• Knowledge of deploying ML services on the cloud, working with big data
• Ability to work within a team of both ML research scientists and engineers
• Sympathetic to Bayesian approaches in machine learning
• Must have a Masters degree, have a PhD or be pursuing doctoral studies

Responsibilities

• Pursuing cutting edge ML research both independently and as part of a team
• Developing ML theory, constructing ML implementations at scale and publishing papers
• With a focus on: ML benchmarking, ML scaling, structure learning, message passing on factor graphs, and/or algorithm development
• Distilling and presenting your work to our company leaders on a regular basis
• This individual may work with others in the scientific or research community to assist them in their research
