Summary

Join Samsara's Public Sector Major Account team and contribute to the success of major government agencies in Florida. You will own customer engagements from prospecting to closing, leveraging Samsara's resources to secure large, complex deals. This role requires 5+ years of senior SaaS sales experience in Florida's public sector, a proven track record of exceeding quotas, and expertise in handling complex deals. You'll be responsible for generating pipeline through outbound prospecting and working with the account development team. Samsara offers a competitive compensation package including base salary, bonus, RSUs, and benefits.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in a senior SaaS sales role selling into the State of Florida Greater Tallahassee, Jacksonville, Orlando or Tampa area candidates
  • Proven track record of consistent quota over-achievement
  • Experience handling and owning large complex deals
  • Comfortable in a rapidly changing, high-growth tech environment
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • High comfort closing transactions of over $100k+ ACV in size
  • Experience with building out a new territory and acquiring new high value target accounts

Responsibilities

  • Own customer engagements end-to-end, from prospecting, qualification and trial to close
  • Leverage Samsara’s award winning Business Value, Customer Success Management and Leadership teams to effectively close large complex opportunities
  • Generate pipeline through strategic outbound prospecting, as well as receive leads from our account development team
  • Target the State of Florida’s public sector customers
  • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices
