Manager, Data Engineer

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering, with at least 1 year of experience in a management or leadership role
• Strong proficiency in modern data engineering technologies such as AWS, GCP, Azure, Spark, Kafka and relational databases (e.g. SQL, noSQL)
• Proven experience in designing and maintaining large-scale data pipelines and ETL processes in cloud-based environments
• Highly proficient in Python and SQL, experience in other programming languages such as Java and Scala for data engineering

Responsibilities

• Create and manage data pipelines
• Manage, mentor and grow a team of data engineers, fostering a high performance team culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement
• Lead and manage data engineering projects and roadmaps from conception to execution, including timelines, resources and deliverables
• Build relationships with Product Managers, Engineers and business folks as their go-to data person
