Remote Head of Internal AI Ops

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager of a highly technical AI-powered product, 3+ years of experience as a leader of an ML/DS Team or 3+ years of experience as an AI solutions architect
• Solid technical background and ability to exercise sound judgment over ML/DS topics
• Impeccable oral and written communication skills, wielded often as tools for alignment-seeking and problem distillation
• Strong critical thinking: strategically disagree upwards or with peers as necessary
• Autonomy & self-direction: aware of the team’s direction, prioritize accordingly with limited supervision even when faced with ambiguity
• A natural curiosity and intuition over both old and new AI techniques and the product/business problems they can address

Responsibilities

• Leading Sword’s internal GenAI transition by working alongside various teams to proactively identify opportunities for enhancing productivity and impact through the development of internal Generative AI solutions
• Defining the internal Internal AI Ops roadmap
• Leading a team of Full Stack Engineers in the execution of such initiatives, ensuring they meet their goals
• Acting as a hands-on contributor in some tasks
• Serving as an enabler: preemptively identifying and addressing risks, ambiguities, future needs, and blind spots; finding balanced solutions for unexpected blockers

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a fast-paced environment wearing different hats, acting scrappy when the situation calls for it
• Experience with BigQuery and Looker for business and product analytics
• Experience with the Python data stack
