Summary

Join Stitch Fix as Manager, People Insights & Analytics, leading the creation and execution of an integrated people insights and analytics roadmap. This role blends people analytics expertise with team development and employee listening, requiring strategic thinking and hands-on execution. You will enhance data-based decision-making, improve data reliability and trust, and advance organizational health metrics. Close collaboration with Engineering, IT, and HRIS teams is crucial. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, proficiency in SQL, DBT, Redshift, Python, Looker, or other BI tools, and understands the potential of AI in HR. You will develop and implement a multi-year roadmap, manage projects, and enable stakeholders to effectively use data. This position also involves designing and executing the employee listening roadmap and action planning strategy.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a field that emphasizes analyzing, displaying, or reporting on people data (e.g., Business Intelligence / Business Analytics, Applied Statistics, Data Science), MBA/MA/MS preferred
  • 5+ years of relevant People/Talent data and analytics experience in Human Resources, measuring and communicating organizational health metrics and providing insights into workforce problems using quantitative and qualitative approaches
  • 2+ years of designing and managing employee listening programs, including pulse surveys, action planning, and integrating talent metrics to enable people-related decisions
  • 2+ years growing and managing small teams of other subject-matter experts; with a desire and aptitude for developing junior-level staff
  • Hands-on experience with one or more BI Platforms/visualization tools,such as OneModel or Looker
  • Hands-on Experience with Workday
  • Experience creating and analyzing employee survey data using Qualtrics
  • Experienced with data lifecycle management, visualizations, data storytelling, developing storyboards/dashboards, and insight generation
  • You are an exceptional problem solver with a dynamic range ability to transition between detailed data and high-level insights
  • Skilled in driving change management and adoption with a focus on communicating impact and outcomes; this may include summarizing complex concepts, decisions, and risks to teams across the business
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills, effective presentation skills, and comfort with executive-ready summaries and presentations (Google Slides, Microsoft PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Advanced proficiency with Google Sheets and Excel
  • Experience with basic inferential statistics and research methods
  • Experience building and debugging data pipelines
  • You translate ambiguous questions into structured hypotheses, identifying key drivers and creating compelling narratives and insights
  • You are curious about people and love learning from different backgrounds, working styles, and perspectives. You also adapt your approach to succeed
  • You question the status quo and others’ “playbooks” as you look for opportunities to innovate and break conventions where you think we can improve

Responsibilities

  • Lead but can also get stuff done. You’re a strategic thinker with deep technical skills who can execute alongside their team (they don’t just delegate and disappear)
  • Run toward problem-solving. The successful candidate will also be comfortable dealing with ambiguity and building new things.  You will take vague problems and then create simple, methodical, and understandable ways of solving them
  • Adept at executive-level storytelling and are comfortable creating concise, decision-focused, and C-level ready materials
  • Work backwards from company or business objectives and  then develop and implement a multi-year integrated People Analytics roadmap, in partnership with senior leaders
  • Be a natural project manager who is organized, can create practical workback plans, and knows how to keep various stakeholders aligned and moving along
  • Enable stakeholders across the company to apply data to their use cases effectively & appropriately while building their understanding of analytics terminology
  • Bring your systems thinking to help with designing solutions with governance requirements, automation opportunities, and enabling self-service (along with any operational considerations)
  • Design and execute our employee listening roadmap and action planning strategy in partnership with senior leaders and our Business Partner teams
  • Have familiarity with people analytics platform management (i.e., Qualtrics, OneModel, Looker, or other) and align with source system owners (e.g., HRIS) and relevant partner teams across IT, legal, and people ops to develop and implement data governance across our systems
