Join Affirm's Engineering team as a Consumer Comms Engineering Manager to lead and grow a team responsible for building and maintaining critical customer communication systems. You will oversee the development and optimization of data pipelines to Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), ensuring system stability and scalability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize our communications platform and guide the team through technical challenges. Requirements
- 7+ years of Engineering experience, including 2+ years of Engineering Management/Leadership
- Proven ability to scale and foster a high-performing engineering team
- Prior experience architecting, building, launching and maintaining consumer scale products
- Strong cross-team communication and collaboration skills
- This position requires either equivalent practical experience or a Bachelorโs degree in a related field
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and grow the Consumer comms team to help improve their designs, processes, code quality, and testing
- Collaborate with Marketing, Product, Analytics, Design, Operations, and other engineering teams to develop a technical roadmap that meets customer & business needs
- Own availability, reliability, and performance of your teamโs systems
- Coach, develop, retain, and provide thoughtful feedback to team members
- Foster a team culture around innovation, accountability, empathy, and execution
- Collaborate & align with other engineering leaders across Affirm
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building data pipelines or marketing systems is a plus
- Experience and desire to build a best-in-class communication ecosystem that sets the standard for excellence in the fintech industry
