Manager, Software Engineering

Summary

Jobber is seeking a Manager, Software Engineering for their Growth department to manage Onboarding and Retention engineering teams. The role involves collaborating with other departments, developing a world-class team, and working in either Edmonton or Toronto offices or remotely within Canada. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background and effective communication skills.

Requirements

• A track record of success in being an established software engineer, as well as time spent in a leadership position, guiding a team in the delivery of quality software
• Strong full-stack technical background, including design and architectural experience
• The ability to be agile in an agile environment
• Effective written and oral communication
• Collaboration down to an art
• To be a leader and mentor

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with rapid experimentation and AB testing
• Previous experience with our development stack: React, React Native, TypeScript, GraphQL API layer, and Ruby on Rails on AWS
• Previous experience with web app observability frameworks (NewRelic, Datadog, etc.)
