Summary
Join Sagent as a Development Manager to lead the development team for our Dara product(s), building our next-generation servicing system and default products used by lenders and servicers in the US consumer and mortgage lending markets. You will work with a global team using modern technologies on Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud platforms. Key skills include strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership abilities. The role involves technical design decisions, Agile SDLC guidance, collaboration with stakeholders, and ensuring platform security and compliance. You will mentor senior engineers and manage delivery metrics. Experience leading API governance initiatives and familiarity with Azure DevOps are also required.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with 4+ years in technical leadership/management roles
- Own QA testing automation and planning
- Deep expertise in cloud-native architecture and SaaS platforms (preferably AWS)
- Strong experience in the mortgage or financial services domain β loan servicing systems, document management, SAAS platforms
- Proficiency in modern programming languages (e.g., Java, .NET, Node.js, Python, React, SQL) and microservices architecture.Β (event driven architecture experience is a plus)
- Experience with API development, event-driven systems, and integrations with third-party platforms
- Familiarity with security and compliance standards relevant to fintech/mortgage
- Strong people leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Responsibilities
- Lead a global cross-functional engineering team (dev, qa, devops disciplines) to deliver scalable SaaS solutions in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Own technical design decisions and guide Development teams through AGILE SDLC
- Oversee architectural design, coding standards, DevOps integration, CI/CD pipelines, and software delivery lifecycle
- Collaborate with Product, Architecture, and Business stakeholders to align technology with business strategy and roadmap
- Lead Engineering teams in Increment and Sprint Planning
- Ensure platform security, compliance (e.g., SOC 2, GDPR), scalability, and performance
- Drive modernization and cloud migration initiatives for legacy mortgage systems
- Mentor senior engineers, foster a high-performance culture, and support career development
- Own delivery metrics with Agile delivery managers, resource planning, and risk management
- Experience leading API Governance initiatives such as Unit Test Coverage using SonarQube and or API standards, etc
- Experience with Azure DevOps, git, maven or shell scripting
- Perform other duties as required
