Summary

Join Figma's growing team as an Engineering Manager on the Developer Tools team! Lead teams building solutions for frontend and full-stack developers, accelerating product development. Define the future of Figma's developer offerings and potentially lead new product development. This full-time role, based in London or remotely in the UK, offers a chance to work on exciting projects incorporating design thinking and AI. You will manage and support a team of product engineers, partner with cross-functional stakeholders, and provide technical leadership. Figma is committed to building an inclusive and diverse team.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience managing software engineers working on products used by external users
  • A proven track record of building products (both as a manager and individual contributor) that are best in class in user experience
  • A relentless focus on business impact through product & engineering excellence
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in building a high-performing and highly engaged engineering team; including mentoring, and growing senior engineers

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support a team of product engineers focused on building and expanding Figma’s developer offerings. Including Dev Mode , MCP , Code Connect , and more
  • Partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to coordinate work across product, design, engineering, and other functions
  • Define strategy & roadmap for your team and execute on that roadmap with a high degree of autonomy, velocity, and craftsmanship
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership to your teams and others that collaborate with your teams to ensure a cohesive product experience and the right technical abstractions
  • Recruit, mentor and retain high performing engineers (and help with other cross functional roles). You’ll foster a culture of innovation, collaboration and taking calculated risks

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building large scale systems using React, C++, and/or Ruby
  • Experience building & maintaining open source software and/or libraries for developers
