Requirements
- Law degree from a recognised university and qualification to practice in an EMEA jurisdiction
- 5+ years of experience in employment law preferably in an international tech company
- Strong understanding of GDPR and global data privacy regulations
- Experience in HR compliance, employment litigation risk management, and internal investigations
- Excellent contract negotiation and drafting skills
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with a proactive and business-friendly approach
- Ability to work remotely and independently while collaborating across teams
Responsibilities
- Provide legal counsel on employment law across EMEA , covering hiring, contracts, workplace policies, terminations, and dispute resolution
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws, GDPR, and other privacy regulations , including conducting vendor privacy and security assessments
- Draft and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including employment, consultancy, contractor, vendor, and data protection agreements (DPAs)
- Manage cross-border data transfer arrangements (e.g., SCCs, IDTA) and support contract negotiations with privacy implications
- Lead compliance initiatives such as internal investigations, training programs, audits, and risk assessments
- Advise on legal and ethical aspects of AI-related initiatives , including data use, model governance, and regulatory alignment
- Collaborate with HR, leadership, and cross-functional teams to align legal risk with business goals in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment
- Monitor l egal developments in employment, privacy, and compliance , and manage external counsel in litigation or regulatory matters as needed
