Manual QA Tester

Summary

Join FLASH as a Manual QA Tester to ensure the quality and functionality of our software applications and hardware devices. Collaborate with development and engineering teams to identify, document, and track defects while ensuring our products meet the highest standards before release.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of software and hardware testing principles
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
• Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and document issues clearly and concisely
• Familiarity with testing tools and defect tracking systems (experience with JIRA is a plus)
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) is a plus

Responsibilities

• Execute manual test cases for software and hardware applications based on established test plans
• Collaborate with QA team members to develop and refine test cases and testing strategies
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and system testing to ensure all components work as intended
• Identify, document, and prioritize defects using issue-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA)
• Reproduce reported issues and work with the development team to resolve them
• Conduct retests to verify defect fixes and ensure issues are resolved
• Perform manual testing of hardware components to validate functionality, durability, and performance
• Ensure hardware and software integration works seamlessly across different platforms and environments
• Work closely with software developers, hardware engineers, and other QA team members to understand product requirements and specifications
• Communicate test results, status updates, and potential risks to the QA Lead or Manager
• Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test cases, test scripts, and test results

Preferred Qualifications

Any relevant QA, software testing or IT coursework or certifications are advantageous
