Summary
Join Cortica's growing multi-disciplinary team as a part-time Marriage and Family Therapist! This role focuses on providing exceptional clinical care to children, families, and couples with neurodevelopmental differences. You will utilize various therapeutic approaches and collaborate with a team of experts. A current, unrestricted California license is required. Requirements
- Possess a masterβs degree or doctorate in psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related field
- Hold a current and unrestricted license and/or certification that is required to practice within your clinical domain and obtain cross-state licensure in new states as indicated by the current business needs
- A current and unrestricted license to practice in the state of California is required for this position
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct client counseling services to families, couples, and children (patients, their parents, and/or their siblings)
- Utilize therapeutic approaches that draw from a variety of disciplines and are tailored to the needs of the client. This may include Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, Solution Focused Collaborative Therapy, and others
- Attend to relational ethics, while collaborating with others in the interdisciplinary team and the families we serve. Actively engage other team members to ensure wrap-around support for the family and sharing of information and ideas
- Participate in family care meetings with other providers
- Comply with clinic policies and all state, federal, and licensing board laws/requirements/regulations by fostering practices that adhere to the standards of care and ethical guidelines, including confidentiality and mandated reporting
- Adhere to β and support other team membersβ adherence to β organizational standards and policies
- Maintain documentation and communication in line with legal, ethical, and company standards
- Team members must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient information
Preferred Qualifications
- Well-grounded in and knowledgeable in a variety of empirically supported psychotherapy treatment approaches including, but not limited to, cognitive and behavioral, postmodern/post-structural, social-constructionism, and narrative therapy
- Commitment to providing exceptional client care and using client feedback to improve care
- Open minded desire to learn from other professional disciplines and knowledge bases as well as local knowledge of colleagues and families we serve
- 1 year or more of experience working with children or families with developmental differences
