Join Think Academy's Middle School Math Competition team as a part-time, remote Teaching Assistant! You'll support AMC10 students by maintaining an orderly classroom environment, answering questions, communicating with parents, and grading homework. Responsibilities include providing feedback, managing a WeCom parent group, creating video explanations, and editing learning materials. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required, with advanced degrees or AMC10 experience highly preferred. Fluency in English and Chinese is essential, along with excellent communication skills and weekend availability. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
- Fluent in both English and Chinese to communicate with team members and parents
- Passionate about education, willing to help students achieve their potential
- Responsible and responsive to facilitate remote work
- Weekend availability is required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage and motivate students
Responsibilities
- Keep the class proceeding in an orderly fashion, answering any questions students might have, communicating to parents about any absences, and generally making the environment conducive to students' study
- Remind students to submit homework, grade homework, guide students to office hours, and help answer questions students or parents might have
- Provide timely and constructive feedback on student assignments and performances to promote continuous improvement
- Help to maintain our WeCom parent group throughout the semester
- Record video explanations for homework problems
- Edit textbooks and other learning materials
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degrees such as Master's, or experience in AMC10 competition

- Teaching Fee: $25/hour
- Non-Teaching Fee: $16-20/hour; Includes class preparation and after-class services such as grading homework, replying to parent messages, periodically giving feedback, etc
- Student Retention Bonus: Targeted at 15% of total teaching fee for long-term classes
