Requirements
- Mechanical Design, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering
- More than 8 years of experience in mechanical design and engineering
- SolidWorks Advanced Level (5+ years)
- Parametric design, complex assemblies, simulations (FEA)
- Surface modeling, configuration management
- Technical drawings creation with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
- AutoCAD: Intermediate Level (2β5 years)
- Detailed 2D drafting
- Layers, blocks, scales, and ISO/ANSI standards
- Traditional Mechanical Design: Advanced Level (5+ years)
- Force calculations, bearing selection, shafts, gears
- Fatigue analysis
- Pneumatics & Hydraulics Intermediate to Advanced Level (3+ years)
- Selection of pneumatic cylinders (force and stroke calculations)
- Valve selection, circuit design, predictive maintenance
- Standards & Regulations Intermediate Level (2β5 years)
- OSHA, CE, ISO 9001, CSA N285/NQA (quality and manufacturing standards)
- Project Management: Basic to Intermediate Level (1β3 years)
- Use of tools such as MS Project or Primavera
- Schedule tracking and technical documentation control
- Technical English: Intermediate Level (2+ years)
- Reading and writing manuals, interpreting drawings
- Communication with international teams
Responsibilities
- Use SolidWorks and AutoCAD to create detailed drawings and perform calculations for forces, speeds, and materials
- Select components (e.g., pneumatic cylinders, servomotors) based on technical requirements
- Design high-speed assembly lines (60+ parts/min), integrating sensors, safety systems, and operational sequences
- Validate that systems comply with OSHA, CE, or CSA N285/NQA standards
- Coordinate with electrical teams, programmers, and manufacturers to solve issues during integration
- Supervise other designers in the absence of the team leader
- Organize technical documentation (drawings, bills of materials, quotations) and ensure compliance with ISO standards
