Summary
Core Scientific is seeking a professional engineer with design experience in data center cooling topologies to own the design, construction, and implementation of mechanical systems supporting their BTC Mining and HPC data center facilities. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or an advanced degree and 5-7 years of related experience.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Mechanical Engineering or advanced degree and experience required
- 5-7 years of related experience
- Professional Engineer or EIT with proven detailed experience
Responsibilities
- Own the design, construct, and implementation of all mechanical systems and cooling topologies supporting Core Scientific BTC Mining and HPC data center facilities
- Provide expert guidance and decision-making within the organization and collaborate with other relevant groups on the design, construction, and subsequent operations of mechanical systems, electrical systems, and controls
- Facilitate communication and knowledge-sharing among cross-functional teams
- Ensure that mechanical design and construction decisions are informed by data-driven analysis and promptly communicated to all stakeholders
- Foster open, respectful, and professional communication directly within the team as well as with co-workers/ teammates and leaders across the organization
Preferred Qualifications
Certification in project/process/program management or equivalent is preferred
