Medical Biller

Summary

Join our client's growing team as a detail-oriented Medical Biller, working remotely to manage insurance claims, patient billing, and ensure timely reimbursements. You will be responsible for preparing and submitting accurate insurance claims, following up on unpaid claims, posting payments, managing patient inquiries, maintaining billing records, and coordinating with the clinical team. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of medical billing experience in the U.S. healthcare system, preferably in physical therapy or outpatient services, and be fluent in Spanish and English. Requirements

• 2+ years of medical billing experience (U.S. healthcare system preferred)
• Strong understanding of insurance verification, coding, EOBs, and appeals
• Fluent in Spanish and English (both verbal and written)
• Detail-oriented, highly organized, and reliable
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Able to work independently in a remote environment
• Google Workspace Proficiency required

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit accurate insurance claims via electronic and paper billing systems
• Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resolve billing issues with payers
• Post payments and reconcile patient accounts
• Manage patient billing inquiries and process statements
• Maintain and update billing records and documentation
• Coordinate with the front office team and clinical team to ensure clean claim submission
• Stay current with payer policies and compliance regulations
• Assist with reporting and audits as needed
• Must enjoy working on a team and meeting via Google Meet and Google Chat frequently

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of physical therapy or outpatient billing a plus
• Familiarity with EMR systems and billing software (PromptEMR experience a plus)
