Summary

This job posting is for a remote Optical Billing Specialist position. The successful candidate will provide support to the optical office team members, handle accounts receivable, review and analyze reports, resolve payment discrepancies, maintain accurate patient accounts, respond to inquiries, work closely with insurance companies, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while providing excellent customer service.

Requirements

• Have experience in Optical and Medical Billing
• Knowledge of optical coding and billing procedures
• Familiarity with optical insurance plans and claim processing
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Detail-oriented with strong attention to accuracy
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in using optical software and Microsoft Office programs
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance
• Ability to work in a remote environment with reliable internet connection

Responsibilities

• Be a dedicated team member, provide support to the optical office team members
• Work Remotely
• Handle accounts receivable, including follow-up on outstanding claims and payment collections
• Review and analyze accounts receivable reports
• Identify and resolve payment discrepancies and denials
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient accounts
• Respond to patient and insurance inquiries regarding billing and collections
• Work closely with insurance companies to ensure accurate and timely claim processing
