Medical Documentation Specialist

Summary

The job is for a Medical Documentation Specialist at Wisedocs, where the role involves summarizing medical records, reviewing them, extracting key information, working with the QA team, compiling, sorting, verifying data, comparing data with source documents, detecting errors, and contributing to software training and machine learning procedures. The candidate should have 1-2 years of experience in medical records, a health sciences background, technical skills including high proficiency in typing and use of Office 365, exceptional grammar, communication, and writing skills, a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, ability to exercise flexibility and judgment, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.

Requirements

• 1-2 years experience working directly on medical records
• Ideal for candidates with health sciences background (psychology, physiotherapy, dental, general medicine- (MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, B.Sc., Psychology)
• Technical skills including high proficiency in typing and use of Office 365
• Exceptional grammar, communication, and writing skills
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail and ability to exercise flexibility and judgment
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

Responsibilities

• Summarize medical records using your clinical experience and reviewing medical records
• Must be able to review and document with strong quality focus
• Extract key information that is important for the medical summary
• Work closely with QA team
• Compile, sort and verify data
• Compare data with source documents, and detect technical and clinical errors
• Directly contribute to our software training and machine learning procedures
