Summary

The job is for a Documentation and Insurance Verification team member who will provide day-to-day guidance to the team while also performing insurance verifications and managing documentation requirements. The role requires 2+ years of experience in documentation collection, knowledge of medical terminology, and managed care billing guidelines.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in documentation collection
• Knowledge of medical terminology + managed care billing guidelines

Responsibilities

• Create and send patient documentation request forms to physicians and doctor's offices
• Manage patient eligibility documents such as prescriptions, standard written orders, medical records, primary care physician referrals, overutilization paperwork, and discharge summaries
• Collect prior-authorization from payers
• Conduct timely, assertive, and creative follow up to ensure our members receive their orders as quickly as possible
• Support the Member Success department in handling customer inquiries
