Medical Value Access Liaison

Summary

Join Arvinas' Medical Affairs team as a Medical Value & Access Liaison (MVAL)! This field-based role requires a scientific expert with clinical, health economic, managed care, and health policy expertise to engage with key decision-makers in the Eastern US. You will provide clinical and scientific education, deliver healthcare economic information, and engage in clinical and scientific dialogue. The position reports to the Director & Team Lead and is remote-based within the US. Arvinas offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. Oncology therapeutic and drug launch experience are required, along with strong scientific knowledge and presentation skills. Travel is up to 40% of the time.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant clinical or pharmaceutical/ biotech experience with 3+ years of related experience in a MVAL role required
• Oncology therapeutic experience required
• Drug launch experience required
• Strong scientific knowledge as well as excellent presentation and teaching skills
• Ability to interpret and communicate scientific data to various audiences
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
• Proven ability to develop external relationships with scientific experts
• Ability to comply with all credentialing requirements for any healthcare institution which is part of the MVAL territory, including, among other things, routine background checks, medical testing (i.e., Tuberculosis test) or proof of immunizations, training on facility policies, and adherence to confidentiality and/or HIPPA agreements
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a complete background check
• Ability to travel frequently (up to 40% of time), including the ability to travel overnight and occasionally on weekends
• Arvinas will not be providing VISA sponsorship for this position. You must have the ability to work without a need for a current or future VISA sponsorship
• The duties of this role are generally conducted in a home office environment. Responsibilities

• Identify key national and regional population health decision makers
• Proactively maintain and broaden professional relationships with managed care thought leaders
• Provide clinical and scientific education to key decision makers within managed care organizations and health systems
• Deliver in-depth healthcare economic information to population health decision makers
• Effectively engage payer and access stakeholders in clinical and scientific dialogue in the context of product value; present standard HEOR models (budget impact, cost effectiveness, formulary design) and outcomes analysis (PROs, indirect treatment comparisons, etc.)
• Actively assesses the medical landscape by meeting with payer and access stakeholders to understand external customer needs and expertise
• Attend medical and access conferences as well as local/regional meetings that serve as venues and forums for access stakeholders and health systems decision-makers. Collect and provide impactful medical insights back to Arvinas to be actioned in support of the strategy development
• Generate National Account Field Medical Affairs plans to identify collaborative opportunities with population-based accounts and institutions
• Serve as a resource of clinical and scientific information for internal cross-functional partners
• Respond to unsolicited requests for medical information
• Ensure and maintain compliance with all company policies, laws, industry, and regulatory requirements

Preferred Qualifications

MD, PhD, PharmD, or equivalent in a relevant scientific or healthcare discipline preferred
