Merchandising Coordinator

Summary

Join Brilliant Earth's Rings Merchandising team as a Merchandising Coordinator and contribute to the strategic growth of the Bridal business. You will play a key role in driving product lifecycle and launch initiatives, leveraging your design eye and understanding of the competitive landscape. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Design, Production, Planning, Ecommerce, and Marketing. Key responsibilities involve business reporting, supporting product lifecycle stages, collaborating on site merchandising decisions, conducting competitor reviews, and participating in product development. Maintain accurate SKU information and collaborate on new product launches. The ideal candidate possesses analytical and problem-solving skills, strong communication skills, and an entrepreneurial attitude.

Requirements

• BA degree or equivalent, preferred
• 2 years of analytical experience or merchandising experience in a consumer-based retail environment
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to synthesize data in Excel through the use of pivot tables and lookup functions to understand business trends and provide forward-thinking insight
• Extremely detail oriented and exceptional time management skills and accountability
• Strong ability to work individually and as a team player to execute projects
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to think critically and adapt quickly in a flexible environment
• Entrepreneurial attitude/self-starter
• Interest in socially and environmentally responsible organizations and products
• A curiosity and appreciation for product, jewelry, and design

Responsibilities

• Run regular business reporting to evaluate product and category performance, including growth, mix and profitability
• Support team members across all stages of the product lifecycle from line plan to launch, assisting on collection briefing, design brainstorm, costing, and downstream product launch initiatives
• Work collaboratively with ecommerce and marketing counterparts to support site merchandising decisions, such as product recommendations and featured imagery
• Conduct competitor reviews to monitor competitor pricing, promotional and product introductions
• Participate in the product development process, partnering with category merchants to build product assortments that support sales and growth plans
• Maintain accurate SKU attribute and pricing information
• Collaborate with cross functional teams, including production, operations, marketing, and site merchandising to launch new product and drive category performance

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with sales and data management software; experience with Domo, NetSuite, or similar, a plus
