Mid Level Software Frontend Mobile Engineer

Summary

Join Wellhub, a corporate wellness platform, as a Mid-level Frontend Mobile Software Engineer in Portugal! You'll be part of the Billing Platform team, responsible for the user experience of a platform processing millions of transactions globally. This role involves implementing solutions, working with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the improvement of checkout conversion rates. You will leverage your ReactJS (or Angular/Vue) skills and experience with RESTful APIs, testing, and prototyping. Requirements

• Focus on making things right and better at every opportunity
• Experienced in developing front-end based on RESTful APIs, collaborating with back-end teams to create mocks, define payloads and follow the HTTP best practices
• Experience with the ReactJS ecosystem
• Experience in implementing prototypes and in practices and concepts such as MVP, A/B testing, and feature toggles for rolling-out features to production
• Software quality and test automation mindset
• Experience with monitoring and observability
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience
• Strong communication skills, including verbal and written English and Portuguese
• Good understanding of how a browser works behind the scenes
• Prior experience in React Native
• Advanced English level

Responsibilities

• Research and execute strategic projects along with your team
• Influence B2B and B2C checkout conversion around the globe, by both creating new payment mechanisms and improving/maintaining existing ones
• Implement and deliver solutions working with a cross-functional team
• Develop engineering skills by getting involved in scalability problems, system architecture, code quality assurance, among others

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge in Angular or Vue
• Experience with automated, unit, and behavioral testing of react components
