Mid Web Engineer

Summary

The job is for a Web Engineer to work on a long-term project developing a Design System Platform for a telecommunications client in India. The position is remote, and the team is international with a majority from Europe. The daily tasks include supporting designers, implementing user experiences, collaborating with other developers, and more.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of commercial experience as a frontend engineer
• Deep understanding of web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frontend frameworks
• Experience working with tools for creating web components (especially Lit or Stencil)
• Experience working on large design systems
• Experience working in cross-functional teams (product managers, designers, engineers)
• Ability to learn quickly, iterate, and work independently in problem-solving
• Proficiency in English enabling free communication in the team (spoken and written)

Responsibilities

• Support designers, architects, and engineers across the organization in the development of the Design System
• Implement concepts, user experiences, and user interfaces in the design system
• Collaborate closely with other developers
• Collaborate and support designers in finding the best solutions for components

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in open-source communities or standards development
• Experience working with APIs and web systems (especially GraphQL)
• Experience working on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Backend experience (Python or Go)
• Understanding of typical UX patterns (identification and mitigation of UX design risks)
• Ability to design and a good eye for UX/UI
