Mobile Developer

Summary

Join Mindera as an Android Developer and craft exceptional native experiences using the latest e-commerce tech stack. You'll collaborate with a talented team on an app with over 10 million downloads, featured at Google I/O 2019. The work utilizes Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and Agile frameworks. International travel may be required (0-15%). Mindera offers a permanent contract, unlimited PTO, flexible working hours, training opportunities, and the ability to choose your own laptop and peripherals. Remote work options are available from Portugal, with other locations depending on project and location.

Requirements

• Be proficient in Kotlin (Kotlin Multiplatform is a plus)
• Be proficient in Jetpack Compose (Compose Multiplatform is a plus)
• Be proficient in Coroutines (or RxJava)
• Have experience with Software Architecture (MVVM or similar)
• Have experience with Unit testing and UI tests
• Be self-driven and work with little supervision towards a common team or company purpose
• Have a passion for quality and strong attention to detail
• Be able to create fluid visual interactions, creating and implementing mobile user experience patterns

Responsibilities

• Discuss technical architecture and design
• Develop and maintain features by collaborating with the client as one single team
• Write testable code and ensure the test coverage stays at the agreed level
• Document your code
• Take ownership of your code every step of the way – from development to deployment and maintenance
• Mentor junior engineers
• Diagnose issues in production and devise solutions for them
• Work both autonomously and collaboratively to complete tasks
• Be an integral part of solutions design and implementation

Preferred Qualifications

• Be good at working as part of a smaller cross-functional and feature-focused team
• Be good at collaborating directly with the client to ensure the technical feasibility of the requirements
• Have experience with Service-oriented architectures, design patterns and data structures
• Have experience with Test-driven development and continuous delivery
• Have experience with Metrics, performance, and operational aspects, which show you care about your code
