Motion Designer

Summary

The job is for a remote motion designer at Lemonade Finance, a fintech startup that provides multi-currency accounts to Africans living in North America & Europe. The candidate should have experience with Adobe Creative Suite, be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and have at least 3 years of experience in an editorial or brand storytelling capacity.

Requirements

• Demonstrable skills in animation & motion design
• Solid portfolio, showcasing your ability to create engaging videos, graphics and motion animations
• Solid design, typography and sound design
• Compliance with the agreed brand design guidelines (colours & fonts)

Responsibilities

• Develop motion graphics and animations for marketing, editorial and brand storytelling projects
• Collaborate with designers and other team members to ensure a consistent design and branding across all materials
• Work closely with project managers to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
• Produce short and long-form videos across digital channels (specifically Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Twitter)
• Stay up to date with the latest design trends and technologies
• Engage external collaborators & agencies in motion design projects
• Support cross-functional teams as needed to achieve the company's goals
• Effectively communicate project progress and any issues that arise with the team and clients
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively
• Continuously improve skills and knowledge through training, research, and experimentation to enhance the quality of work delivered

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of 3D design, compositing and animation is a plus
